Description

Ares Otto Repa SOC SLR Electric Sniper Rifle (MSR-SOC)

Welcome to the heavy end of the spectrum. The Ares Otto Repa SOC SLR isn’t your average airsoft sniper rifle—it’s a statement piece that packs futuristic flair with rock-solid internals. Whether you're stalking the back lines as a DMR or building a sci-fi inspired loadout that breaks necks (visually, of course), this chunky bullpup is built to impress—and perform.

Let’s start with the obvious: this thing looks like it time-travelled from a dystopian future. Drawing design cues from rifles like the WA2000 and DSR-1, the MSR-SOC boasts sharp lines, angular cuts, and a full-metal body that's about 70% CNC-machined from 6063 aluminium. It's got presence—and then some. At 6.2kg, you’ll know you’re carrying it, but that weight translates into rock-solid stability when you're prone or locked into cover with bipod and monopod deployed.

Functionally, it’s just as fierce. Under the hood, it’s powered by Ares’ EFCS (Electronic Firing Control System) gearbox. Pre-installed with a MOSFET, this DMR platform is locked to semi-auto only, delivering a consistent 430 FPS on 0.20g BBs. It’s perfect for sites running DMR rules, and it can take 11.1v LiPos all day long without skipping a beat. Think of it as an electric sniper rifle built for those who don’t want to faff about with bolt-action cooldowns.

The gearbox is Version 2 compatible, so if you’re that player who’s already eyeing upgrades, you're in luck. But honestly? Out of the box, it’s already singing. The rotary hop-up is accessed via the charging handle and offers reliable precision adjustment—essential when you're making use of that monster 670mm inner barrel. It’s the kind of setup that rewards players who want distance and consistency without compromise.

Every inch of the externals is engineered with utility in mind. You get a full-length 515mm top Picatinny rail—enough space for a high-magnification scope, PEQ box, and whatever else your setup demands. The bipod system is inspired by WA2000-style runners and glides back smoothly when not in use. Then there's the hidden monopod, deployable straight from the pistol grip. Toss in adjustable cheek riser, butt plate, and an ambidextrous layout—this rifle fits you, not the other way around.

Even the little things are dialled in. The laser pointer is subtly tucked under the front—activated by a hidden switch. It's not adjustable, but it adds to the futuristic vibe. The bolt catch is functional too, giving off a crisp metallic snap that adds some extra theatre to your reloads. Mag release, bolt catch, and selector? All ambidextrous. Lefties, you’re covered.

At the end of the day, the MSR-SOC is one of those airsoft AEG rifles that defies category. It looks outrageous in the best way, shoots like a laser, and feels like it should be in a tactical museum of tomorrow. Whether you're picking it up for performance, aesthetics, or both—you won't be disappointed. Just make sure your sling is solid. This one's a beast.
