Secutor ASTRA III Shadow M-Lok Airsoft AEG Rifle in Black
The Secutor ASTRA III Shadow M-Lok AEG in black is one of those rifles that immediately feels “right” the moment you shoulder it. Built tough, styled sharp, and loaded with internal upgrades, this airsoft assault rifle thrives in both CQB and mid-range field scenarios. If you're after a reliable, full-metal airsoft gun that handles like a real AR and performs like a tuned platform straight out of the box — you’ve just found it.
This compact rifle is built around a full-metal receiver and alloy outer barrel assembly, which gives it excellent weight and durability without going overboard. The first thing you'll probably notice is the loud steel muzzle brake — it doesn’t just bark, it growls. That distinctive report isn’t just for theatrics either; it gives you presence in confined engagements and sends a clear message when you’ve entered the room.
Up front, you’ve got a 7-inch M-LOK handguard with loads of modularity. Whether you’re running a short vertical grip, torch, or just keeping it slick for maneuverability, the M-LOK system lets you build your setup your way. The full-length 20mm Picatinny rail blends seamlessly into the receiver — great for mounting optics, backup sights (included), and any extras like PEQ boxes. It’s compact without being cramped, and incredibly responsive in tight environments.
Controls are fully ambidextrous — from the fire selector to the mag release and bolt catch. That’s a win for left-handed players, but it’s also brilliant for anyone who likes to switch shoulders mid-game. The charging handle is low-profile, and pulling it back locks the mock bolt open to expose the rotary HOP-up. Flip the bolt catch and it slams shut with a crisp, satisfying clank — tactile, functional, and just plain cool.
The HOP-up unit is solid and secure, working flawlessly with the pre-installed 60º Maple Leaf bucking and shaped cam. It holds its setting and gives consistent pressure, making it a breeze to dial in your BB trajectory. Combined with the 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, it gives surprisingly accurate shots in a rifle this compact — ideal for urban sites or building clearances.
The grip and trigger setup is pure comfort and control. The pistol grip features a modern ergonomic angle with full texturing for a confident hold, even with gloves. The enlarged trigger guard won’t cramp your style, and the CNC-machined flat trigger includes an external travel screw for tuning your shot response to your liking. Paired with the high-torque motor, trigger response is snappy and precise, whether you're laying down controlled bursts or hammering semi-auto in a fast exchange.
At the rear, the six-position telescopic stock lets you customise the length of pull quickly, keeping the rifle compact for indoors or extended for more stable shots outside. It includes a cheek rest, textured butt pad, sling loop, and QD sling points — all the bits you’d want for comfort and convenience. Battery access is simple and efficient, with a Deans (T-plug) connector tucked inside the buffer tube. A 7.4v 1300mAh 25C LiPo stick battery fits perfectly, balancing the rifle nicely without making it front-heavy.
Internally, this AEG is a beast. The Ares EFCS V2 gearbox runs on 8mm bearings and a one-piece CNC cylinder/head assembly for improved air seal. Steel 18:1 gears and a reinforced piston with full metal teeth keep the drivetrain reliable under pressure. It’s pre-wired to Deans for cleaner power delivery and includes low-voltage cutoff to protect your battery. Plus, with the optional Ares programming unit, you can fine-tune your fire modes — semi-lock for CQB, burst for outdoors, the choice is yours.
Chrono tests put the ASTRA III around 330–350 FPS with 0.20g BBs, making it site-legal at most UK skirmish venues without needing any pre-game tuning. Paired with a 120-round mid-cap magazine (included) and compatibility with standard M4 AEG mags, this rifle is ready for battle right out of the box. Compact, reliable, and a joy to run — the ASTRA III Shadow doesn’t just look the part, it plays it flawlessly.
