Secutor ASTRA XI Shadow AEG Airsoft Rifle – Blue

If you're the type who likes your airsoft gun to stand out from the crowd — not just in performance, but in looks too — the Secutor ASTRA XI Shadow AEG Rifle in Blue is going to grab your attention. It’s not your everyday M4 clone. This thing looks like it dropped out of a futuristic marksman’s kitbag, blending solid AEG performance with a fresh design that turns heads on and off the field.

At first glance, that pre-installed suppressor and fabric-wrapped shroud steal the show. It’s got this DMR-meets-CQB hybrid vibe going on — long enough to feel stable for ranged engagements, yet compact and nimble enough to clear tight corners. And yes, the inner barrel runs all the way through to the tip of the suppressor, so if you're planning to swap in a tracer unit, just be aware you’ll need a barrel extension or an adapter to make it work properly. Fortunately, the 14mm CW threading plays nice with most common muzzle accessories, so modding is still wide open.

Up front, the 12” M-LOK handguard gives you that modular freedom we all love. Whether you’re mounting angled foregrips, torches, or a PEQ box, there’s room to get creative. And the full-length 20mm Picatinny rail up top? It flows seamlessly into the receiver rail, making it a dream setup for any optic — from red dots to scopes. It even comes with flip-up iron sights, just in case your optic gives up mid-game.

The receiver itself is full-metal, with a waffle-textured magwell for that grippy, no-slip reload feel. It’s sturdy, rugged, and feels reassuringly solid in hand. The polymer dust cover and ambidextrous bolt release are thoughtful touches — keeping the weight down while still giving you that tactile feedback when locking in your HOP-up adjustments. Speaking of which, the HOP-up unit is rotary and accessible via the dust cover — smooth to dial in and stays locked, even under heavy recoil.

Controls are all ambi — fire selector, mag release, and bolt catch — and they’re not just mirrored for show. These are functional, responsive, and built for skirmishers who don’t want to compromise on ergonomics, whether you're left- or right-handed. The fire selector has a crisp, satisfying 90° throw between safe, semi, and full-auto — and if you grab the optional Ares EFCS programmer, you can even tweak those firing modes to fit your playstyle. Burst mode on a gun like this? Chef’s kiss.

Down at the grip, things get even better. The unique pistol grip features deep texturing and forward ridges that absolutely lock into your hand — gloved or not. It’s shaped for stability and comfort, with an enlarged trigger guard that easily accommodates cold-weather gloves. The flat-faced CNC trigger feels excellent under your finger, allowing clean, responsive shots. It even has external travel adjustment, so you can fine-tune your trigger pull without opening up the gearbox.

Now let’s talk about that stock. Inspired by the real-world UBR style, it offers five-position length adjustment while keeping a fixed cheek weld — no more re-zeroing your optic every time you shift positions. It’s robust, low-profile, and doesn’t wobble like cheaper adjustable stocks. Inside the stock tube sits a Deans connector, neatly tucked away and easy to access for battery swaps. A 7.4v 1300mAh LiPo fits perfectly, giving you solid trigger response without throwing off the balance of the rifle.

Under the hood, you’re looking at Ares’ Version 2 EFCS gearbox — and this is where the ASTRA XI really earns its stripes. It comes loaded with 18:1 steel gears, a high-torque motor, quick-change spring system, and integrated MOSFET. Out of the box, it’s giving you a snappy trigger, consistent FPS, and the reliability to run hard all day. The 8mm bearing/bushing combo adds to its durability, while the silver wiring ensures efficient power transfer with minimal loss. Chrono numbers tend to sit between 330–350 FPS with 0.20g BBs, making it perfect for most UK fields without needing to downgrade.

This airsoft rifle blends serious internals with a bold design — not just built to perform, but to stand out while doing it. Whether you're locking down lanes in semi-auto or flanking hard in full-auto, the ASTRA XI Shadow AEG gives you the versatility and reliability to back up its striking looks.
