A&K M1 Garand Airsoft AEG Rifle - Real Wood
Widely hailed as one of the greatest rifles ever fielded, the M1 Garand is a true icon—and A&K’s airsoft replica does it justice in every way that matters. This electric airsoft rifle blends real-wood beauty with full-metal durability, bringing one of WWII’s most legendary rifles into the skirmish world with purpose-built internals and battlefield-ready performance. Whether you’re a reenactor, a history buff, or just someone who appreciates authentic platforms, this AEG deserves a salute.
Let’s talk aesthetics first. The Garand is dressed in a hazelnut lacquered real wood stock and handguard that instantly sets it apart from plastic-dominated builds. It looks and feels period-correct—from the stacking swivel and bayonet lug to the curved buttplate and adjustable aperture sights. At 1120mm long and weighing 3.6kg, it’s got that proper battle rifle heft. The rear-wired battery is cleverly housed in the butt, accessible behind the steel buttplate—clean, discreet, and functional.
Internally, it’s kitted with a Version 7 gearbox—same style found in M14s—fitted with 18:1 steel gears and 6mm bushings. The quick-change spring system is a welcome touch, letting you adjust FPS for site rules or DMR play without cracking the shell. Out of the box, the M1 Garand hits around 400 FPS, giving it serious outdoor range potential. A 6.05mm tightbore inner barrel (445mm long) and rotary hop-up unit—adjusted via the charging handle, by the way—help nail those longer shots.
Functionality isn’t lost in its historical design either. The detachable 20-round magazine is hidden cleanly under the receiver and released with a button disguised as the bolt catch—proper clever. It’s not a high-cap, but that’s kind of the point. You’re not dumping mags like an M4—you’re picking shots, flanking from cover, and fighting like it’s 1944. And no, it doesn’t ping—but pulling that bolt back to adjust hop-up? Satisfying every time.
Despite its classic roots, this AEG isn’t stuck in the past. It’s rear-wired to a Deans connector, ready for LiPo use out the gate. Fire modes include semi and full-auto, selectable from the left of the receiver, though most will likely keep it semi for realism. The trigger assembly and safety are full-metal and feel sturdy under pressure. If you’re planning to build a WWII loadout or want to rock a unique DMR setup, this is a superb foundation.
Performance-wise, it holds up on modern fields. Accuracy, consistency, and range are strong suits, thanks to the barrel and hop combo. Plus, with the V7 gearbox design, upgrades are a breeze if you fancy tweaking compression or ROF. But honestly, it performs so well stock you might not need to.
All said and done, this isn’t just a nod to history—it’s a functional piece of it, reborn for airsoft. You won’t be clearing CQB halls with it, but out in the woods or across a trench-themed site, the M1 Garand absolutely shines. And it looks damn good doing it.
