Description

Classic Army PX9 X9 Airsoft AEG Submachine Gun with Stick Magazine in Black

If you're in the market for a compact yet mean-looking CQB airsoft gun, the Classic Army PX9 X9 Submachine Gun is a real contender. Straight out of the box, this airsoft AEG oozes close-quarters potential — think tight corners, fast transitions, and aggressive room clearing. It's got that short, punchy form factor that just begs to be run indoors, yet it’s smart enough to hold its own in woodland too with a few loadout tweaks.

At its core, the PX9 X9 is a full-scale electric airsoft submachine gun styled on the AR platform but chambered visually for 9mm magazines. If you’ve handled an M4 AEG before, everything will feel instinctive — from the fire selector to the mag release and hop-up adjustment. The familiarity is a huge plus for players who want something different without having to learn a whole new layout.

Internally, the PX9 X9 doesn’t pull any punches. It runs Classic Army’s programmable ECS (Electronic Control System) which allows you to switch between semi-auto, full-auto, and 3 or 5-round burst modes. That burst fire especially comes into its own in CQB — you get just enough rounds to win the engagement without over-committing and wasting BBs. It’s paired with a reinforced Version 2 style 9mm bearing gearbox, known for handling stress under heavy fire.

FPS clocks in around 350 using 0.20g BBs, which sits perfectly for most UK indoor site limits. The quick-change spring system means adjusting to site-specific power rules is a breeze, without needing to strip the whole thing down. Pair that with the quick-change motor grip and you’ve got a gun that’s as maintenance-friendly as it is aggressive in a firefight.

On the outside, this airsoft AEG is a tidy mix of functionality and modern styling. You’ve got a polymer frame that keeps the weight manageable (around 2.5kg), but don’t let that fool you — it feels robust, not toy-like. The anti-slip pistol grip gives great control, and the adjustable sliding stock lets you keep things compact or stretch out a little if you’re running longer engagements.

One standout feature is the M-LOK rail system — sides and underside are ready to take torches, vertical grips, lasers, or angled foregrips. Up top, a full-length 20mm RIS rail runs the length of the receiver, giving you plenty of space for optics. The included flip-up sights are decent, and easy to adjust or swap out if you’re going red dot. There's even an under-barrel rail slot for extra accessories. Classic Army didn’t leave anything out here.

Battery setup is rear-wired — battery goes under the stock. You’ll want a 7.4v LiPo with a Mini Tamiya connector to get the best performance. And no, battery’s not included, so budget for that. The mag holds 120 rounds and is a stick-style design to keep things slim and SMG-appropriate. Currently, spare mags might be tricky to source, but the included one feeds reliably with standard 6mm BBs.

In hand, it’s sleek, tight, and purpose-built. The ambidextrous controls — charging handle, selector, and stock release — make this friendly for lefties, and the PXG 9 muzzle device is a cheeky little detail that adds flair without shouting about it. For skirmishers who like something different without going full sci-fi, the PX9 X9 hits a sweet spot.
