Inspired by the imposing Gen12-style platform associated with John Wick 4, this airsoft gun combines an oversized full-metal receiver, long KeyMod handguard and officially licensed Taran Tactical Innovations detailing with the practical internals of an Airsoft AEG. That combination is the clever bit. You get the dramatic Dragon Fire appearance without being tied to shell loading or low-capacity shotgun operation, making the 040ET far more usable as a regular skirmish rifle than its looks might initially suggest.

Although the exterior takes heavy inspiration from a shotgun-style platform, the Dracarys is a conventional 6mm electric airsoft rifle underneath. Power comes from a battery-operated gearbox system, while ammunition feeds from a huge 900-round magazine. In practical terms, it handles much more like a large assault rifle than an airsoft shotgun. That means familiar reloads, adjustable hop-up, semi and full-auto firing modes and a much more straightforward game-day routine. If you like unusual airsoft guns but don't fancy completely relearning how your primary works, this setup makes a lot of sense.

Starting at the front, the long KeyMod handguard gives the rifle much of its distinctive profile. There's plenty of room to mount compatible accessories where you actually need them, including foregrips, lights, sling hardware and other suitable kit. Across the top is 20mm Picatinny mounting space for a red dot, holographic-style sight or magnified optic. Despite the Dracarys looking rather exotic from across the safe zone, setting it up doesn't require anything unusual. Internally, the Dracarys is more interesting than its unusual exterior might lead you to expect. Three-round burst gives you another controlled firing option where site rules permit it, while binary provides a more specialised programmable mode. As always, configure the rifle around the rules of the site you're actually attending. The electronics can offer plenty of options, but the marshal still has the final say.

The Dracarys retains Safe, Semi-Automatic and Full-Automatic operation alongside those programmable settings, so the basic handling remains familiar. That's important because the external design looks far more complicated than the controls actually are. Anyone used to an AR-style airsoft assault rifle should find the selector, magazine release and general manipulation quite intuitive. That's one of the nicest things about this platform: visually wild, mechanically familiar.

At the rear is an adjustable stock with battery storage built into the back of the rifle. This lets you alter the length of pull around your height, plate carrier, clothing and preferred shooting position. Shorten it for tighter indoor environments or extend it when you want a more conventional shoulder position. A 7.4V 1450mAh LiPo is recommended, and the battery is sold separately.
