One of the handy features of NUPROL 2.0 Green Gas is its silicone lubricant content. As the gas travels through your magazine and airsoft gun, the silicone helps lubricate gas valves, seals and moving components it comes into contact with. That doesn't mean you can completely forget about routine maintenance, but it can reduce how frequently certain parts need manual lubrication compared with using a completely dry gas.

The revised NUPROL 2.0 mixture is also designed to provide a little more performance than earlier gas formulations. Depending on your airsoft gun, temperature and other factors, you may see a modest increase in FPS. This can be useful for lower-powered GBB setups, although you should always chronograph your airsoft gun after changing gas and make sure it remains within your site's permitted power limits.
