The G&G M4/AR-15 Cobalt Kinetics BAMF Stealth Recon is a compact, CQB-oriented airsoft rifle based on the real steel Cobalt Kinetics BAMF platform. Originally designed for competitive shooting, the BAMF Stealth variant is tailored for tactical use, with a shortened barrel, compact stock, and modern ergonomic features. It maintains the signature speed and control enhancements of the original BAMF while adapting them for close-quarters engagements.
This AEG is constructed from high-density polymer and metal components to ensure a balance of durability and reduced weight. The receiver features a billet-style design with integrated enhancements, such as ambidextrous controls, an enlarged trigger guard, and a flared magwell. The polymer build helps reduce fatigue over extended use while offering resistance to scratches and minor impacts.
The outer barrel measures 9 inches and is made from aluminum. At the end of the barrel is a pre-installed muzzle sound amplifier. This spiked, breaching-style device is inspired by real steel compensators and is designed to produce a sharp, loud muzzle report. It mounts onto standard 14mm CCW threading, making it compatible with other muzzle devices like suppressors or tracer units. The amplifier can be easily removed without tools, as it does not require a grub screw for installation.
The BAMF Stealth is equipped with a hybrid handguard system that supports both M-LOK and 20mm Picatinny accessories. The handguard is made from high-density polymer and includes M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. The top rail is a full-length 20mm Picatinny rail that runs the length of the receiver and handguard, providing ample space for optics. Pre-installed flip-up aperture sights are included and are adjustable for windage and elevation. The underside of the handguard also features a short Picatinny rail section for mounting additional accessories like a flashlight or bipod. On either side of the handguard, steel QD sling sockets are built in, compatible with standard QD sling swivels.
The receiver design follows the M4/AR-15 platform in layout but incorporates a number of custom features. The magwell includes front grooves for use as a makeshift vertical grip and is flared with an aluminum extension to make reloads easier and quicker. The fire selector is ambidextrous and has a 45-degree throw, allowing for faster transitions between firing modes. The magazine release is also ambidextrous, with enlarged and protected release buttons on both sides to suit both left- and right-handed users. A functional bolt release allows the mock bolt to be locked open for HOP-up adjustment and released afterward.
The charging handle is ambidextrous with extended surfaces for easier operation. Pulling the handle opens the dust cover and exposes the rotary HOP-up unit for adjustment. The rotary dial clicks into place and holds its setting securely. The HOP-up system allows for tuning backspin for different BB weights and desired flight paths.
The trigger guard is oversized to allow space for gloves, while the trigger itself follows a curved MilSpec design. The pistol grip is taken from the original competition BAMF and has a reduced grip angle for comfort during modern shooting stances. It is designed without texture or checkering, making it more comfortable for use without gloves. The grip and trigger guard are seamlessly integrated to prevent pressure points during prolonged use.
At the rear of the rifle, a steel ambidextrous sling plate is fitted between the receiver and the stock assembly. This sling plate is compatible with single-point slings and can also be used with two-point setups by pairing it with the QD sockets at the front. The stock is the G&G GOS V9 PDW stock, a compact unit designed for fast deployment and battery storage. It is a multi-position stock, though it requires manual adjustment by removing the butt plate and repositioning screws to set the desired length. Once adjusted, the stock can be deployed quickly by pressing a release button.
Battery storage is located within the stock. To access it, the butt plate and stock bars must be removed, revealing the internal compartment. The rifle uses a mini-Tamiya connector and is designed to operate with an 11.1V LiPo battery. A recommended size is 1450mAh in stick configuration for optimal performance and fit.
Internally, the BAMF Stealth features G&G’s G2 Gearbox system, known for its high reliability and performance. The G2 Gearbox includes an integrated MOSFET and Electronic Trigger Unit (ETU), which allows for programmable fire modes, including burst fire. The system also features a low-voltage cutoff to protect the battery. The gearbox uses 8mm ball bearing bushings to reduce internal friction and increase durability. It is powered by a G&G 25,000 RPM high-speed motor, which contributes to a fast trigger response and high rate of fire.
The included magazine is a 90-round mid-capacity model that auto-ejects when empty, a unique feature of the BAMF series. While standard M4/AR-15 AEG magazines can also be used, they will not support the auto-eject function.
