EDGETM is a line of replicas made by Specna Arms that combines a number of solutions and technologies that are hard to find in other replicas on the market. It's a series that puts a lot of emphasis on how well-made the outside is, as well as solutions that make the replica more versatile, make it last longer, make it easier to figure out what's wrong, and make power tuning easier. You get a copy right out of the box that doesn't need any changes, but if you do need to make changes, they will be very easy.
Most of the replica J-SeriesTM carbines made by Specna Arms are made of steel. The receiver, dust cover, external barrel, trigger guard, magazine latch, muzzle device, rear sight, cleaning rod, pins, and rivets are all made of steel. The rest of the metal parts were made from an alloy of zinc and aluminium, and a special coating on their finish makes the replica look very real. The stock, pistol grip, magazine, and stock adaptor were all made of polymer, just like the real gun.
The quick spring exchange system, called Enter & ConvertTM, is built into J-SeriesTM carbine replicas. This makes it easy to change the power of the replica to match the conditions on the playing field without a workshop or a set of special tools. Once the gearbox has been taken out of the replica's body, changing the spring takes only a few seconds. All you have to do is pull the guide and spring out of the gearbox frame opening.
Most magazines by Cyma, JG, E&L, and Bolt work with replicas. Using magazines from other brands may require some changes. The set comes with two original S-MAG mid-cap magazines made of polymer. Each magazine can hold 130 BBs.
Gearbox ORIONTM V3, which is used in J-SeriesTM airsoft replicas, is known for its high reliability out of the box. The mechanism is set up to be tuned more and work with M140 main springs. There are things inside such as:
