The Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International JW4 Pit Viper R614 is an officially licensed gas blowback airsoft pistol based on the distinctive TTI Pit Viper seen in John Wick: Chapter 4. Made by Army Armament in cooperation with Jag Precision, this V2 version wears a deep, high-gloss black DLC-style finish that works beautifully with the competition-inspired lines of the pistol. The film connection will obviously grab the attention first, but look beneath the JW4 styling and there's a genuinely interesting Hi-Capa-style GBB pistol here, complete with CNC machined aluminium components, an extended 123mm inner barrel and an adjustable hop-up system.

Starting right at the muzzle, you'll find the integral mock compensator that gives the Pit Viper much of its unmistakable profile. There's an 11mm thread for compatible extensions or thread adapters, while the 123mm inner barrel runs underneath the compensator rather than ending with the shorter moving section of the slide. It's a neat arrangement because you retain a useful barrel length without requiring an equally long reciprocating slide. Less moving mass can make a noticeable difference on a Green Gas airsoft pistol; every time you pull the trigger, the gas has less weight to throw backwards and forwards. The result is the sort of brisk, lively cycling you'd expect from a competition-influenced airsoft handgun.

The outer barrel uses a non-tilting design, another detail that makes more sense once you start looking at the Pit Viper as a complete system rather than simply a flashy John Wick BB pistol. A conventional tilting GBB barrel can become less happy when unnecessary weight is hung from the muzzle. The Pit Viper's arrangement is designed to keep things moving smoothly when a suitable compatible adapter or extension is used. Output is listed at up to approximately 330 FPS, although Green Gas pressure, temperature, BB weight and hop setting can naturally shift the actual chronograph reading from one day to another.

Moving rearwards brings you to the CNC machined aluminium slide, complete with licensed TTI laser-engraved markings and extensive competition-style lightening cuts. They certainly look good, but they're doing more than adding visual drama. Removing excess material reduces reciprocating slide mass, contributing to a sharper cycling feel and helping the sights settle quickly between shots. Ever fired a heavy-slide GBB pistol that feels like the entire top half is taking a scenic route backwards? This is aiming for the opposite character. Quick, crisp and responsive – exactly what suits a Pit Viper-style airsoft pistol.

The sighting arrangement is equally well thought out. Up front is a fibre-optic sight that provides a bright reference point and is particularly easy to pick up when presenting the pistol quickly. At the rear sits the distinctive TTI Ghost Profile shrouded adjustable sight, giving you more control over the sight picture than a basic fixed arrangement. The hop-up is adjustable too, allowing the backspin applied to the BB to be tuned around your preferred ammunition. A little range time pays dividends here. Make small hop adjustments, watch the BB flight and stop fiddling once the trajectory settles where you want it.

Below the slide sits a CNC machined aluminium frame combined with a reinforced polymer grip. The grip is hand stippled, providing plenty of texture for maintaining a secure hold when gloves, wet hands or the general grime of a skirmish day enter the equation. At the bottom is a generously flared magazine well designed to funnel the magazine towards the grip during a hurried reload. It sounds like a minor competition feature until you're trying to reload while keeping your attention on what's happening downrange. Then that extra bit of guidance suddenly earns its keep.

An integral accessory rail beneath the frame gives you somewhere sensible to mount a compatible tactical light, making the R614 particularly easy to configure for indoor CQB and low-light games. Overall length is approximately 9.5 inches from the muzzle to the rear of the magwell, while height is around 6.5 inches from the top of the slide to the bottom of the magwell without the magazine fitted. It's certainly not a tiny airsoft handgun, but the familiar Hi-Capa-style grip and carefully managed slide mass stop it feeling like an unwieldy lump when you're actually bringing it onto target.

The Jag Precision x TTI JW4 Pit Viper R614 manages to combine the unmistakable John Wick 4 appearance with features that make sense on a skirmishable Green Gas airsoft pistol. You've got a CNC aluminium slide and frame, 123mm inner barrel, non-tilting outer barrel, adjustable hop-up, fibre-optic front sight, adjustable Ghost Profile rear sight, hand-stippled grip and flared magwell underneath that glossy black finish. The official Taran Tactical Innovations licensing supplies the authenticity, while the competition-style hardware gives players something worthwhile beneath the movie connection. Plenty of swagger, certainly, but the useful bits haven't been forgotten.
